EYE DISEASE CONSULTANTS is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near West Hartford, CT

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting ophthalmologists in providing quality eye care to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting preliminary eye exams, preparing the patient to see the physician (preliminary exam, medical history, etc.), and administering eye medications.

Duties:
- Perform preliminary eye exams, including measuring visual acuity and intraocular pressure
- Preparation of examination and treatment rooms
- Administer eye medications as directed by the physician
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies

Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Epic or similar systems is an asset
